The Best Place at Pabst Brewery, Milwaukee, WI
Lindsay & Nick Devona’s Wedding
Some weddings feel like the very best version of Milwaukee; warm, historic, genuine, and full of character. Lindsay and Nick’s September celebration at Best Place at Pabst Brewery was exactly that. On a perfect early fall day, surrounded by Cream City brick and brewing history, they welcomed their guests to a celebration that felt personal, intentional, and effortlessly joyful.
From the moment guests arrived, they were invited into a bit of playful Milwaukee charm. Each person was handed an ice-cold can of Pabst Blue Ribbon, a nod to the couple’s shared love of beer and a subtle tribute to the venue’s iconic past. It set the tone immediately: relaxed, meaningful, and full of personality.
Inside the Great Hall, the ceremony design was soft and romantic. Ground florals lined the aisle in a palette of navy, lilac, and pink, adding gentle color and texture against the warm historic backdrop. Nick’s older brother officiated, creating a ceremony that was short, sweet, and filled with heartfelt, family-centered moments.
After the “I do’s,” the couple and their wedding party wandered through the surrounding brewery district for portraits. The textured brick, industrial architecture, and iconic blue signage gave every shot a timeless sense of place, unmistakably Milwaukee.
Meanwhile, guests enjoyed cocktail hour downstairs in the Prohibition-era speakeasy, a hidden gem within the venue that added character and history to the evening. While guests mingled, the vendor team transitioned the Great Hall from ceremony to reception. Because I managed all communication with vendors in the months leading up to the wedding, and guided the full team throughout the day, the flip was seamless, allowing Lindsay and Nick to remain fully present, never once needing to think about logistics.
When the reception space reopened, guests returned to a warm, inviting dinner setting. Round guest tables surrounded a beautifully styled kings head table, all accented with romantic florals in soft pinks and lilacs, rich navy tones, and the glow of gold taper candles that added just the right touch of elegance for dinner. The historic architecture of Best Place provided a perfect canvas for a design that felt both elevated and cozy. Guests enjoyed a plated dinner by Saz’s Hospitality Group, followed by a stunning dessert from Cake Lady Designs.
One of the most memorable moments of the night came as Lindsay and Nick stepped onto the dance floor for their choreographed first dance to “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran. As guests gathered around, cheering them on, the moment felt cinematic, a blend of romance, joy, and pure celebration. From there, The Milwaukee Wedding DJ kept the dance floor full and lively well into the night, rounding out a celebration that felt effortless, heartfelt, and deeply authentic.
For Lindsay and Nick, the day unfolded exactly as it should: full of ease, beauty, and connection. For me, ensuring that experience meant handling every detail, from timeline management to vendor communication to the quiet orchestration of the flip, so they could be fully immersed in each moment. Watching them enjoy their wedding without stress or distraction was truly one of the highlights of the day.
Their celebration was a perfect reflection of who they are and the city they love, a Milwaukee wedding full of charm, history, romance, and all the warmth of a perfect September day at Pabst Brewery.
