Black Sheep Weddings, Green Bay
Maddy and Logan
Maddy and Logan’s wedding day was the kind that feels effortless in the best way; laid back, full of heart, and centered around simply being present with the people they love most.
These two have known each other since elementary school, which made the entire day feel even more meaningful. As the first grandchildren in their families to get married, there was an extra layer of excitement and emotion woven throughout every moment.
They began their day getting ready at a nearby Airbnb just across the parking lot from Black Sheep Weddings and Events, which made for such a smooth and relaxed start to the morning. Before the ceremony, they shared a private first touch and exchanged vows, an incredibly special, quiet moment that grounded them before everything began.
The ceremony took place indoors in front of the venue’s stunning fireplace, creating a cozy and intimate setting. Nature’s Best Floral designed a custom installation on the fireplace that brought in soft texture and color, elevating the entire space without taking away from the moment itself. They were married by Pastor Bill from their church, adding a deeply personal touch to the ceremony.
Following “I do,” guests transitioned into cocktail hour, enjoying drinks from both bars while the room was flipped for dinner. While the transition happened within view, it was completed quickly and kept the overall flow of the evening right on track, one of those behind-the-scenes moments that still makes a big impact on guest experience.
Dinner featured a classic Wisconsin meal by Van Abel’s of Hollandtown, warm, familiar, and perfect for gathering everyone together. Long tables were styled with bud vases filled with blue, coral, and white florals, giving a fresh, spring-inspired feel to the reception design.
For dessert, guests were treated to individually wrapped cookies made by a family friend: snickerdoodle, chocolate chip, monster, and double chocolate. A nostalgic and thoughtful touch that everyone loved.
The evening continued with a packed dance floor and a celebration that carried through to the very end of the night. To close it all out, guests gathered for an unforgettable “Piano Man” moment, truly one of the largest, most energetic singalongs I’ve seen, and the perfect ending to such a joy-filled day.
One of my favorite parts of this wedding? Even with a relaxed, easygoing energy, the day stayed ahead of schedule, allowing us to sneak outside for beautiful portraits and soak in the spring light, something that always makes a difference in the overall experience and gallery.
Maddy and Logan, your day was such a reflection of who you are, genuine, joyful, and surrounded by so much love. It was an honor to be part of it.
